Mrs. Laura Cordova, is the manager of New Horizons Volunteer Program, she was born in Manabí province. She is Social Communicator specialized in Public Relations. As a college student worked together with a group of colleagues helping in poor neighbourhoods in Quito. Her passion has been always social work. She also worked for five years as  Spanish teacher in some schools, this was the contact´s point with foreigners, and she started to be the channel between volunteers at institutions. She met Fabienne Tieche there, she is from Switzerland and she has always been keen to help others too.

Fabienne Tieche was born in Grenche, Swizterland. Her profession is Physiotherapist. Her impulse for the creation of this program, wasis because she likes social work and when she knew Laura, she understood that together they can develop and help social projects for helping others.

Fabienne and Laura  started to prepare a project for channel the help of volunteers and together created New Horizons volunteer Program, on January 1 of 1997. Later, on May of 2001, it was created the Foundation “Redes Solidarias”, with the mision of working together.
